NEXT DESTINATION: CITY OF CUZCO (PERU)

The city of Cusco, ancient capital of the empire Inca, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983 and is undoubtedly one of the most important country. Among its cobbled streets are discovered Incan buildings, such as Koricancha and the Palace of Inca Roca, with colonial buildings Andean Baroque style, the Cathedral and the Jesuit church, plus you can visit the picturesque neighborhood of San Blas where the workshops of the leading craftsmen of the department. This magical city also has an exciting nightlife with cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.

Ten minutes from the city are the massive walls of the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. A few miles away, are the archaeological sites Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, Incan buildings constructed completely with stone.

Along the Sacred Valley, one hour from Cusco, lie the villages of Pisac, Maras, Ollantaytambo Chinchero from where you can take the train to Machu Picchu. Another way to get to the citadel is one of the paths along the Inca Trail, a spectacular network of roads that wind through snow, rivers, and breathtaking scenery. This is one of the best trekking routes in the world, through it, are dotted with impressive archaeological sites and areas rich in unique species of flora and fauna.

The enigmatic complex of Machu Picchu, the most important and beautiful legacy of ancient Peruvian Historical Sanctuary is part of the same name, which is one of the few places in America, declared both Cultural and Natural Heritage of Site by UNESCO. Is located high on top of a mountain and complements the exuberant nature that surrounds it, creating a unique place in the world.
